Andy Eugene Seago, 85, passed away on November 4th, 2022. He was born in Iuka, Mississippi where he spent most of his younger years. He was a 1956 graduate of Iuka High School. The majority of Andy’s life was spent in Pensacola, Florida, until the last few years, when he resided at his last fishing hole on Lake Martin in Dadeville, Alabama.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Cathy; a daughter, Alethea “Darlene” Beasley; grandchildren Kris Yonker, Blake Dunaway, and Pawpaw’s special young ladies, Kamryn and Tara. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy Seago and Maude Hearn Carter; daughter Cynthia Jean Kinney; and siblings, Chester Seago, Dell Wilson, Charlene Freese and Geraldine Lawler.
Andy had a successful 37-year career with the federal government starting out in aircraft maintenance and retiring as the Deputy for Contracting and Logistics for the Navy’s Education and Training Command Headquarters.
Bass fishing was Andy’s true passion. He hosted a PBS fishing show in the 80s called Fishing with Andy and was successful in many local, regional, and national bass tournaments.
A celebration of life was November 29th in Pensacola, Florida at Bayview Memorial Park.
