Barbara Jean "B.J." Walker Balcom, 81, of Iuka, MS, died on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at The Hospitality House. She was a member of Snowdown Methodist Church and retired from FedEx. Barbara enjoyed reading, traveling, taking care of her animals, and helping others. She was a loving and free spirit.
She is survived by her sisters, Geneva Ewing of Counce, TN and Gail Osmun of Clarkston, Michigan; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Flora Carr Walker; her brothers, Billy Walker and Robert "Bobby" Walker; and her sister, Janet Jackson.
Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Services were Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Bro. John Gwatney. Burial was in Snowdown Cemetery. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at The Hospitality House and the staff of Heritage Hospice.
