Evelyn Spence Skinner, 91, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center – Iuka. Mrs. Skinner was a long-time member of Burnsville United Methodist Church and loved attending services when she was able. Before retirement, she worked as a teacher at Burnsville Elementary School. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting and gardening. Mrs. Skinner is survived by her nephews, Kenneth Windham (Linda) and Jerry Skinner (Dorothy); her nieces, Brenda Bolen (David), Sue Oaks (Wade), and Barbara Holland (the late Doug); her sister-in-law, Veneda Nichelson (the late Steve); and her very good friend, Diane Elliott (Harold Booth). She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Skinner; and her brother, Gerald Windham. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, Mississippi, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from noon until 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Services will follow at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home. Pallbearers include Harold Booth and Jerry Skinner. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
