Frances Rast, 85, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Region One in Memphis, Tennessee. Mrs. Rast was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and with her flowers and spending time with the joys of her life, her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Kathy Rast, Donny Rast, and Richie Rast (Tina); her grandchildren, Misty Thompson (Joe Boswell), Alexandria Rast Lock (Jacob) and Austin Rast; her great-grandchildren, Madison Oszan (Kyle), and Weston Locke; her siblings, Shirley Haygood, Connie Dillard, Johnny Stanford, Sheila Robbins, and Marty Stanford; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Rast; her parents, Clarence W. and Fannie Mae Edmondson Stanford; her daughter, Jeannie Helton; and her grandsons, Corey Helton and Adam Rast. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, Mississippi is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 5 pm until 8 pm at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Services are scheduled for Monday, May 22, 2023, at 2 pm, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Tony Curtis. Burial will follow in Rutledge Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Austin Rast, Brian Hurst, Dale Aldridge, Porter McKee, Keith Puckett, and Johnny McKee. Honorary pallbearer will be Kyle Oszan.
