Glenda Bailey Hendrix, 88, of Tishomingo, Mississippi, died on Thursday, August 24, 2023, in her home. Glenda was of the Baptist faith, read her Bible religiously, and loved attending services at South Crossroads Baptist Church and Jackson Camp Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, studying her genealogy, and creating artwork. Her favorite books were cookbooks, and her house was covered in them. She was a talented artist and made amazing paintings. Glenda is survived by several cousins, friends, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hendrix; and her parents, Ilene Martin and James Meeks Bailey. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023, at South Crossroads Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Dwight South. Pallbearers include Lynell Bailey, Jerry Gallahar, Pitt Kimbrough, Wayne Martin, and Brendix Glascow. Donations may be made in Glenda’s honor to South Crossroads Baptist Church.
