Howard Grimes, 73, of Glen, Mississippi, died Friday, June 2, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Grimes was of the Christian faith and attended Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran and served in Germany during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed “spending time in the woods with the Lord” as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren and attending their ballgames. Howard loved to work and could fix anything. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Grimes; his mother, Juanita Grimes; one daughter, Joni Arnold (David); one son, Josh Grimes (Stephany); one brother, Jimmy Ray Grimes; one sister, Mary Roberson; five grandchildren, Brent Arnold (Mallory), Tyler Arnold, Tyson Anglin, Logan Grimes, and Landon Grimes; and two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Arnold and Janie Rae Arnold. He was preceded in death by his father, Stacey Grimes; and three brothers, Johnny Grimes, Tommy Grimes, and Darren Grimes. Cutshall Funeral Home of Glen, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 4, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Glen, officiated by Bro. Kara Blackard and Bro. Josh Westmoreland. Interment will follow in Holder Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Sunday. Memorials may be made to Wheeler Grove Baptist Church.
