Jackie Curlee Grisham, 85, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Jackie was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and served in Germany. His keen eye for fashion served him well during his earlier years of employment at Grisham’s Men’s Wear, and the many friendships he developed during this period followed him throughout his life. Many men in the community remember going to see Jackie when it was time for new clothes. Later in life, Jackie went to work at Cutshall Funeral Home where he remained employed until retirement, though he still visited his co-workers for coffee most mornings. Jackie was an outgoing and social person who loved to dance and spend time with his friends. He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening, and always shared the first Camelia blooms of Spring with his friends and neighbors. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and will be missed by them and his many friends of all ages. He is survived by a daughter, Melissa Qualls (Joel); a brother, James Grisham (Martha); a grandson, Quentin Qualls; and a great-niece, Amanda McLemore Cochran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mattie Bullard Grisham; a sister, Hilda Price; a niece, Debbie McLemore; and a great-nephew, Casey McLemore. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 3, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. Stanley Magill. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include his co-workers at Cutshall Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled for 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, April 2, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
