James Ronald “Ronnie” Scott, 75, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, August 5, 2023, at his residence. Ronnie was a U. S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam from 1967 through 1969. He retired from Southern Railroad and enjoyed fishing and scuba diving. He also enjoyed metal detecting and spending time with his grandsons.
He is survived by a daughter, Amy Scott Cutshall; one brother, Richard Scott (Sue); one sister, Diane Ham (James); two grandchildren, Zach Cutshall and Aiden Cutshall; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Busby (Jerry Don); and a brother-in-law, Jesse Dexter (Nancy). He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Dexter Scott; his parents, Jesse and Mazell Weaver Scott; two sisters, Carolyn McVay and Judy LeFan; and a sister-in-law, Martha Kenaum.
Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Haskell Sparks.
