On Saturday August 10, 2024, Billy Ray White age 96 of Conroe, TX passed away peacefully.

Billy was born March 1, 1928, in Iuka Mississippi to William and Ellen White. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Slidell, LA for over 60 years where he served as a Deacon, teacher and a member of numerous committees over the years. He loved the Lord with all his heart and was never ashamed or bashful to share the plan of salvation with anyone he crossed paths with, including residents of the assisted living center where he lived recently. Billy retired in 1983 after 30 years of employment with Kaiser Aluminum. You could often find Billy in his large vegetable garden after retirement. He loved his family unconditionally and enjoyed spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren who were always eager to ride the tractor with Paw-Paw. Billy leaves a legacy of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who love the Lord, and his guidance will live on for many generations to come. He lived his life on earth preparing to meet his Saviour and hear His words, “Well done thy good and faithful servant.”

He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Evie Louise Redmond, his children Jimmy Ray White (Marie) and Carolyn Diane White Cochran (Randy), his grandchildren Tiffany White Roach (Tommy), Khristina White Fincher (Grant), Kori Cochran Sanness (Stig), and Lindsey Cochran Brizendine (Daniel); great-grandchildren: Kimberly Roach Booth (Jake), Karlee Roach McCabe (Cade), Kourtney Roach, Grayson Fincher, Raegan Fincher Cooley (Austin), Hayden Fincher, Peyton Fincher, Lukas Sanness, Markus Sanness, Nikolas Sanness, Oliver Sanness, Mackenzie Reiff, Sam Reiff, Adelaide Brizendine, and Elowyn Brizendine, and his great great grandson Hunter Booth.

He is now reunited in Heaven with his parents William Casey White and Ellen Wadkins White, and his siblings; Lois White Hammock, Irene White Tigner (Sis), Lila-Mae White Highland, Marie White Bonds, Howard White, Cecil White, Alvie “Little Boy” White, Albie “Rass” White, Edward “Boots” White, Abner White, and Lum White.

Visitation for Billy will be held on Friday August 23, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm for family and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm for friends at Williams Funeral Home, 67525 Hwy 41 Pearl River, LA 70452. Graveside service to be held on Saturday August 24, 2024, at 10 am at Terrys Creek Cemetery, Magnolia, Ms.
