Ouida Mae Bolton, age 88, of Iuka, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 4, from 5 to 8 pm at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 5, at 1 pm, at Cutshall Funeral Home sanctuary. Services will be officiated by Bro. Doug Christy and Bro. Greg Thorn. Burial will follow at New Prospect Baptist Church in Iuka. Pallbearers will be Patrick Nowlin, Nathan Davis, Ben Tucker, Benjamin Nowlin, Gary Bolton, and Tim Thorn.
Ouida was born in Tishomingo County to Floyd and Pearl Ezzell on September 18, 1935. She was married on April 17, 1962, for 61 years to R.C. (Cleston) Bolton. She was a devoted Christian and a member of New Prospect Church in Iuka for over 50 years. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She loved her husband with all her heart and was immensely proud of her family. Ouida had a passion for people and cooking and enjoyed sharing meals with family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Preston, Kenneth, and Charles Ezzell, and one sister, Geneva Thomas. She is survived by her husband, R.C. (Cleston) Bolton, one sister, Lottie Thorn, and one sister-in-law, Shirley Ezzell. She is also survived by two daughters, Patricia (Butch) Nowlin and Janice (Danny) Davis. Grandchildren include Patrick (Mandi) Nowlin, Nathan (Michelle) Davis, Emily (Ben) Tucker, and Benjamin (Carla) Nowlin. Great-grandchildren include Cooper Nowlin, Caleb Davis, Katie Margaret Nowlin, Davis Tucker, Jack Nowlin, Ahren Davis, and Evie Tucker. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
