Ricky D. Rodgers, 63, of Iuka, Mississippi died on Saturday, August 12, 2023 resulting from a boating accident near Waterloo, AL. He was born on March 13, 1960 to G. Deene Rodgers and Mable Richards Rodgers. He graduated from George Nelson Tremper High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Ricky was a skilled carpenter and worked with several local named construction sites through Northeast Mississippi. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and being outdoors in God’s country.
He is survived by his only son, Remenington D. Rogers, his father G. Deene Rodgers (Diane), two sisters Angel Rollins (Bryune) and Deeana Didly (Jeremy). Nephews and niece Lijah Clay and Carson Wells Rollins, and Jeremiah Adam and Rebekah Didly. Only cousins, Barbara Bowman (Eddie) and Robert H. Rodgers Jr. and aunt Martha Rodgers. He is preceded in death by his mother Mable Richards, parternal grandparents Robert G. and Ruby Mae Rodgers, maternal grandparents Lonnie and Thelmer Richards, and his aunt Doris Farnam (John), and Uncle Robert H. Rodgers.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in the near future.
