BELMONT - Sara Ann Deaton George, 76, died Thursday, June 15, 2023 at her residence. Services were June 17th at Dennis First Baptist Church with Bro. Scot George and Bro. Adam Humphries officiating. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery, Dennis, Mississippi. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Mississippi will be in charge of arrangements.
She was born in Tishomingo, Mississippi to Chamblis and Earline Slack Deaton and was a homemaker.
She is survived by a son – Anthony George (Rea Moreland); daughter – Michelle Bolton ( Randy); grandchildren – Whitney Day (Michael), Mackenzie Sullivan (Blake), Lane George, Eva Moreland and MJ Moreland; great-grandchildren – Alexis and Ryder Day and Madeline and Tucker Sullivan; her sister – Margaret Robinson; brother-in-law – Gordon George (Nora Ann); sisters-in-law – Margaret Pardue (Tommy), Sheila Bolton (Billy) and Judy Deaton; exchange students – Sandra Mlosch, Fabiana and Peggy Corte Real and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley George, her parents, a brother, Claudy Deaton, brother-in-law, Charles Robinson and one nephew.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Page, TJ Bolton, Cole George, Michael George, Justin Pounders, Jamie Deaton and Chester George. Honorary pallbearers will be Lane George, MJ Moreland, Tucker Sullivan and Ryder Day.
