Walter James Williams, Jr., 42 died Thursday, August 31, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center-Iuka. He was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey on July 4, 1981, to Walter Williams, Sr. and the late Sharon Duckett Williams. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at Jones Chapel C.M.E. Church, Iuka, with Pastor Sheaneter Bogan officiating. Viewing will be 10-11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at Shady Grove Cemetery, with Cutshall Funeral Home in charge of services.
Walter (“Junior,” “Mop”) was preceded in death by his mother, grandfather, Albert H. Duckett, and grandmothers, Cigger Lee Duckett and Eula M. Leonard. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Kya and Kamya Chapel (mother Sherita), Florence, Alabama; Aubrey and Augusta Williams (mother Robin), Iuka; Ava Gardner (mother Cretia), Corinth, Mississippi; father, Walter “Jimmy” Williams, Sr. Iuka; aunt, Sondra Ranee Duckett, New Jersey; brothers, Demetric Williams, Corinth, Albert Duckett (Annya), Iuka, Shawn Holiday (Chenelle), Belden, Mississippi, and Derrick Wilson; sister, Alanson Holiday; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
