PUBLIC NOTICE
The Town of Burnsville, Tishomingo County, Mississippi intends to improve the wastewater treatment facility by constructing a moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) along with piping and a wastewater lift station in order to maintain compliance with their upcoming National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit with the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ). Total estimated cost of the project is $3,881,000. Funding for the project will be obtained through the Wastewater Pollution Control Revolving Loan Fund (WPCRLF) administered by the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ).
A Public Hearing will be held at 4:00 P.M., September 24th, 2024 at Town of Burnsville, 38 Gross Ave, Burnsville, MS 38833.
Project details including location and cost estimates are described in a planning document referred to as “Facilities Plan” dated August 2024. Persons wishing to examine the planning document and/or comment on the project, in writing, may contact Mrs. Tracy Roaten (662-427-9526), Clerk, Town of Burnsville, 38 Gross Ave, Burnsville, MS 38833. Written comments will also be received for a period of 30 days from the date of this publication.
